About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Member Service Representative to join our team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Resolve Member Issues
    • Research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans
  • Assist with Member Onboarding
    • Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection, and credit card applications
  • Counsel Members on Financial Products
    • Counsel current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and services
  • Ensure Compliance and Security
    • Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
  • Identify Cross-Selling Opportunities
    • Identify opportunities to cross-service products and increase product penetration
  • Perform Platform Banking Functions
    • Perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision
  • Assist Team Members
    • Assist level I team members
  • Stay Compliant with Regulations
    • Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills

    • Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts, and services
  • Adaptability and Flexibility
    • May be required to participate and complete specialized training (in Business Services, IRA, MLO, notary, etc.), per business need

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Member/Customer Service
    • Experience in member/customer service preferably in a call center, retail banking, or financial institution
  • Experience in Credit Union Environment
    • Experience in working in a credit union environment

Work Schedule

Available Monday - Saturday, hours based on business needs. Part-Time hours are typically hours a week. (Please note, during training longer hours will be required)

Based upon business needs, this position may require working at or transferring permanently to neighboring branches within a reasonable commuting distance.
