Claims Support Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Support Specialist to join our team at Erie Insurance. As a Claims Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our claims team, ensuring that our customers receive timely and accurate service.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Support: Provide support to claims personnel with various activities, including preparing claims documents and information within established procedures.
- Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from customers, escalate as appropriate, and provide inbound and outbound phone support.
- Administrative Functions: Assist with financial transactions within established procedures, greet, screen, and direct visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor new team members, and assist in resolving systems problems.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and two years' customer service in a professional setting, administrative, claims support or office experience, required.
- Experience: Proficient knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendar scheduling software required. Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and 90 net data entry keystrokes per minute preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the insurance industry and completion of insurance designations or course work preferred.
