Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs claims support and administrative activities for various disciplines.
  • Successful candidate will work from a designated office.
  • Successful candidate will work standard business hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs support and administrative functions, including but not limited to preparing claims documents and information within established procedures and supports third-party relationships and processes.
  • Provides inbound and outbound phone support and responds to inquiries from customers, escalating as appropriate.
  • Assists claims personnel with various activities.
  • Trains and mentors junior staff.
  • Performs various system-related tasks; assists in resolving systems problems.
  • Greets, screens, and directs visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with financial transactions within established procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two years' customer service in a professional setting, administrative, claims support or office experience, required.
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
Additional Experience
  • Proficient knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendar scheduling software required.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and 90 net data entry keystrokes per minute preferred.
  • Experience in the insurance industry and completion of insurance designations or coursework preferred.
  • Travel for business and training required.
