Position Overview:

The Powertrain Wiring Specialist is responsible for the design, prototyping, and documentation of wiring harnesses utilized in engine, transmission, and electrified powertrain systems for testing environments. This role encompasses the management and oversight of harness assembly, both internally and through external suppliers, ensuring accuracy and functionality throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prototype wiring harnesses for dynamometer testing.
  • Organize and supervise the assembly of harnesses, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct thorough checks for errors and verify operational integrity.
  • Manage inventory and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the harness development process.
  • Collaborate with product development engineers to gather necessary electrical specifications.
  • Engage with in-house technicians and third-party suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in automotive testing or electronics.
  • Proficiency in designing and modifying electrical circuits.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for wiring-related challenges.
  • Knowledge of electrical noise reduction techniques, grounding, and shielding.
  • Experience with MS Office and/or Google Suite applications.

Essential Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with automotive electronics.

  • Proven ability to resolve wiring-related issues effectively.
