Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Validation Test Engineer to join our Global Powertrain & Electrification Validation (GPEV) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, developing methods, and carrying out system and component-level testing in world-class labs.

In this role, you will operate with design & validation technical specialists, systems engineers, lab integration engineers, and technicians to bring exciting products to market. You will have the opportunity to develop into a Lead System Test Engineer, where you will learn leadership skills and be engaged in programs throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test methods, and test automation to support validation sign-off.
  • Apply analytical tools in the validation process.
  • Support an Agile Team-based structure where you will rotate through fresh assignments supporting test execution, process innovation, and moving toward virtual (hardware-less) validation techniques.
  • Operate with focus on safety in state-of-the-art test lab environments.
  • Investigate testing anomalies and generate reports to highlight findings.
  • Perform and support root cause analysis and correction of system-level problems relating to hardware validation.
  • Analyze and peer review test results and participate in data-driven efficiency initiatives.
  • Engage in programs as production-intent designs are available and see them through to launch.
  • Coordinate and consult with various departments outside engineering.
  • Collaborate with Component and System Validation Engineers.
  • Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduation engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to learn complex system functions quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
