Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Report directly to the Warden or Health Service Administrator regarding daily clinical operations.
  • Oversee and manage daily nursing and clinical activities.
  • Supervise both licensed and non-licensed healthcare staff, ensuring adherence to facility and corporate policies. Responsibilities include training new hires, evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and managing work schedules.
  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of licensure, utilizing appropriate nursing skills for the treatment of inmates.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels at the facility, stepping in as necessary during staffing shortages, and performing nursing duties as required.
  • Conduct triage and physical assessments.
  • Lead emergency care and procedures as necessary, coordinating with Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure in the state of employment.
  • A minimum of two years of nursing experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of clinical nursing principles and management practices.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and office equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Full-time position.
  • Competitive salary of $118,000 - $120,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health, dental, life, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off.

Work Environment:
This position requires in-person engagement within the facility.
