Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at La Quinta by Wyndham Nashville - South. As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection while managing costs within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in the daily operations of the hotel, including managing front desk staff, revenue management, and financial results.
  • Train hotel staff to deliver exceptional guest service and quality products, leading to achieving goals for revenue and profit.
  • Properly administer company policies and procedures for human resources management, payroll administration, personnel transactions, and fair treatment of employees.
  • Ensure a satisfactory guest experience and protect the company's physical assets by maintaining the physical condition of the hotel in accordance with established quality control standards.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager and serve as acting General Manager at various hotels to cover vacated positions and relieve General Managers on vacation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably in a management role.
  • Knowledge of training criteria specific to the hospitality industry and/or adult learning preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Logical and independent planning, organizing, and completing work.
  • Ability to take initiative and have well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Proficient in MSWord, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
