Job Description

Job Summary:

Nashville Hospitality Concepts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hotel Operations: Direct and coordinate hotel activities to achieve optimum efficiency and economy of operations, while maintaining a balanced focus on guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and owner loyalty.
  • Leadership and Management: Provide coaching, guidance, and support to hotel staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Guest Experience: Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
  • Business Growth: Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing business plans, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, and driving revenue increases.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with hotel staff, departments, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all franchise and company procedures, regulations, and standard operating procedures, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure employee performance meets expectations.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage hotel finances, including cash flow, guest floor limits, and aging reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Property Maintenance: Ensure the hotel, grounds, and physical plant are maintained to the highest standards, including regular inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Employee Development: Provide training and development opportunities to hotel staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Emergency Response: Be available 24/7 to respond to guest or employee emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A university degree or diploma in hotel management or a related field, with at least 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including luxury and international experience.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong management skills, ability to delegate work and authority, provide coaching and guidance, and lead by example.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with hotel staff, departments, and external partners.
  • Financial Management Skills: Ability to manage hotel finances, including cash flow, guest floor limits, and aging reports.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, talking, listening, and speaking clearly on the telephone.
