Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus and its occupants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform security and safety rounds as assigned, ensuring that offices and suites are secured.
  • Respond to calls for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Report all suspicious activity to the Lead Security Officer or designee on duty.
  • Identify hazards and threats to the safety and security of the campus and its occupants, and initiate corrective measures or alert the supervisor.
Investigations and Property
  • Complete written reports of all reported incidents as assigned.
  • Prepare property reports for patient valuables and secure them in the department safe.
  • Use the department's digital camera to photograph areas where security incidents have been reported.
Requirements
  • NYS Security License
  • Active police officer certification; active police officers required to obtain NYS Security Guard license within 90 days of hire.
  • Current Training Certificate.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Basic computer skills, good oral, interpersonal skills, and written communications to document investigative activities.
Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
