About the Job

Talent Masters is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer at Talent Masters, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integrated mechanical assembly systems that meet process requirements and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including mechanical system design from scratch, analysis/calculations (stress/fatigue/etc.), acceleration forces, load calculations, material stress design, failure and effects analysis, risk assessment, component selection, and mechanical system installation/commissioning.
  • Conduct hazard analysis and optimize system designs for safety and reliability, including understanding of Class 1 parts to minimize single points of failure.
  • Create comprehensive system documentation, including descriptions of operation, mechanical system design details, system implementation/acceptance test plans, and maintenance procedures.
  • Develop drawings of mechanical design, assemblies, and installation procedures on AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software.
  • Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Perform system analysis and calculations, including stress, fatigue, reliability, tolerance studies, and life expectancy.
  • Act as a Technical Lead on projects, guiding engineers, technicians, and contractors, and manage schedules.
  • Act as a Project Manager on smaller projects ($50k-$250k), responsible for developing plans, managing project deadlines, scheduling, managing purchasing, subcontractor requirements, and developing cost proposals for contract scope changes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical systems, components, stress analysis, acceleration forces, and knowledge of amusement ride safety standards (ASTM Standards).
  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is also desired.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.

Travel and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
  • Expected to be on client location 5 days a week.
  • Standard office environment, on-site office environment, and diverse industrial/construction environments.
