Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at 3 Bears Inc - Black Bear Diner (Daymen Kirch) in DE. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food to exacting standards and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive and Sous Chef with daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Answer and report to the Executive or Sous Chef, following instructions and guidance as needed.
  • Clean up stations and manage leftover food, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Stock inventory accurately and maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Requirements:
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
