About the Role

Ulteig is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector I to join our team in supporting power utility construction projects across the US. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the observation, monitoring, and documentation of construction work performed in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Monitoring: Track and report project progress and status to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with owners, project management teams, contractors, engineers, and utilities to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Control: Perform and document job safety walks, ensure adherence to client Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs, and report non-conformance issues.
  • Support: Assist project staff in their duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or a minimum of 2 years of comparable field experience.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of related experience, with a focus on electrical systems, utility, and renewable energy projects.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contracts; knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with GIS database systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, conflict negotiation/resolution, and stakeholder engagement; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
