Job Title: Phlebotomist, Part Time, Pathology, Nmmc- Pontotoc

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Pontotoc, Mississippi.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with specimen collection, processing, and transportation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process blood and other specimens for laboratory testing
  • Transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of specimen collection and processing
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Mississippi Driver's License and acceptable driving record/history required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a phlebotomist preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASCP Certification
  • Knowledge of and appropriate handling of biohazardous specimens
