We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Pontotoc, Mississippi.

About the Role
  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Location: Pontotoc, Mississippi
Key Responsibilities
  • Transport lab-related supplies, equipment, and specimens accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines for specimen transportation.
  • Properly identify patients and collect specimens in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process specimens and apply barcode labels prior to delivery to specific lab departments for testing.
  • Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, and assist physicians with bone marrow collection, point of care glucose, and iSTAT testing in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering telephones in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the Pathology and NMHS teams to achieve common goals.
  • Accurately report point of care testing results in a timely manner.
  • Perform point of care quality control accurately.
  • Document all necessary information on patient specimen tubes/containers and in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Assist with maintaining inventory related to specimen processing.
  • Adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
  • Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guidelines/regulations/laws/statutes.
