Barback Duties:
  • Exhibit a vibrant, sociable, and engaging demeanor while upholding professionalism.
  • Conduct essential preparatory tasks behind the bar, such as replenishing ice bins, restocking beverages, and preparing garnishes.
  • Manage the replacement of empty kegs in the keg room, which includes transporting full kegs of beer.
  • Support the upkeep of a clean and organized workspace by promptly addressing spills and disposing of waste.
  • Arrange bar supplies and drinkware systematically.
  • Efficiently clear and sanitize the bar area.
  • Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and friendly service to patrons.
  • Engage in effective communication with colleagues and guests, demonstrating clarity, patience, and a sense of humor.
  • Complete all assigned side tasks diligently.
Barback Qualifications:
  • Experience in food service with a solid understanding of bar and nightclub operations.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years or older, as dictated by state laws.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interactions with guests, kitchen staff, wait staff, and management.
  • Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or a food service permit or valid health/food handler card as mandated by local or state regulations.
  • Reading and writing skills are frequently utilized for order taking and paperwork completion.
  • Basic mathematical skills are regularly applied.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.
Essential Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 200 pounds (such as kegs, ice, glasses, and trays).
  • Capability to navigate the facility efficiently and safely.
  • Proficient in handling food, objects, products, and utensils with care.
  • Ability to bend, stand, stoop, and kneel as required.
  • Capacity to adapt to potential temperature fluctuations in the work environment.
