Job Overview

We are seeking a Patient Experience Ambassador to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients and families receive exceptional care and service.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Encounter Management:
    • Provide positive and effective customer service to support unit operations.
    • Collaborate with referring providers and practices to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Obtain required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.
  • Check In / Check Out:
    • Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors with a smile.
    • Monitor daily schedule and coordinate flow with clinicians/supervisor to ensure efficient patient care.
    • Reconcile payments and prepare deposits, providing record of transactions in Hospital systems.
  • Administrative:
    • Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate emergency services as needed.
    • Provide routine clerical support as needed to keep our hospital running smoothly.
    • Admin Support for Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers to ensure accurate patient documentation.
Requirements
  • A high school level of education; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prior customer service or administrative experience is highly desired.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, providing empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
