Job Summary

Levy, a leading provider of food, beverage, and retail services, is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at the Lexington Legends. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality foods, coordinating kitchen activities, and supervising food-service associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards, ensuring all deadlines are met based on production orders.
  • Supervise hourly food-service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Store food in designated areas, following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, supplies, and utensils, and keep workstations clean and organized.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Relay relevant information to supervisors and demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items.
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of products and supplies, tracking production, consumption, and waste.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a high-volume food-service environment, preferably in a sports or entertainment venue.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality and service.
