Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Epic System Analyst to join our team at Forrest General Hospital. As an Epic System Analyst, you will be responsible for attending classes, completing required testing and projects to obtain and maintain EMR system certifications. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in activities associated with workflow analysis, data collection, database customization, reporting, system testing, and user training to maintain a quality EMR.
* Aid in the responsibility for ongoing support of the EMR, including new installs, software updates, software upgrades, approved projects, and other assigned tasks via our helpdesk system.
* Communicate with clinical/nonclinical staff to understand needs and/or to relay status updates related to their requests.
* Follow all policies and procedures while performing job duties.
* Communicate effectively with other build analysts, report analysts, quality assurance analysts, training analysts, team leads, coordinators, and managers to ensure proper readiness and awareness of efforts exist to support assigned timelines at all stages.
* Evaluate release notes, project scopes, and/or user-reported requests to develop a build strategy for implementing approved and prioritized assignments.
* Participate in meetings as requested involving build analysts, reporting analysts, quality assurance training analysts, team leads, coordinators, managers, and operational stakeholders to gather data for assignments.
* Document all work efforts associated with every assignment in a timely manner and with great detail to support audit reviews.
* Work assignments as prioritized and complete work based on associated timelines, making team leads and/or management aware of any known obstacles.
* Participate in the timely review and approval of change management requests for the EMR.
Requirements:
* Minimum of Associate Degree preferred or equivalent work experience required.
* One year of work experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership characteristics preferred.
* Must have a working knowledge of hospital operations and be able to use an analytical approach.
* Organization ability and strong communication skills are required.
* Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below.
Mental Demands:
* Exceptional oral and written skills are required.
* The individual must have the ability to perform as a team member, cooperate with others, manage conflict, prioritize multiple tasks, exhibit leadership, and demonstrate self-motivation.
