Position Summary
The General Ledger Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, monitoring, and reporting of the organization's financial activities. This role ensures adherence to financial policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing general accounting functions, fixed assets, accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and revenue accounting (including accounts receivable). This position supports a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of accounting professionals with overall accountability for revenue accounting (including accounts receivable).
- Ensure that effective accounting processes are established and maintained.
- Supervise individual contributors and/or team leaders.
- Accountable for team performance and results within the specialty area.
- Evaluate departmental priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Make decisions and solve problems guided by established policies and departmental plans, with support from senior leadership.
- Utilize business understanding to integrate departmental objectives with broader organizational goals.
- Monitor the team's performance in achieving service quality and timely objectives.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues, considering their impact across the department.
- Manage one or more related teams, adapting departmental plans to meet short-term operational goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Typically requires 8+ years of relevant work experience.
