Corporate Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to join our team at Solomon Page. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in advancing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of over 25 professionals, fostering collaboration across various departments and driving business growth.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee all accounting functions, including the general ledger and reporting systems, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Manage the monthly and quarterly closing processes for all entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis and Planning: Maintain quarterly Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) schedules and conduct ad hoc analyses on claims expenditures by vendor and specialty.
  • Revenue Management: Manage revenue schedules for the risk pool to ensure accurate revenue projections.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare timely and precise monthly financial statements and executive summaries for management review.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all regulatory filings are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct monthly and quarterly budget vs. actual analyses to verify result accuracy.
  • Technical Accounting and Research: Support and manage technical accounting research and analysis, setting standards and initiatives for accounting, reporting, and operations; address complex accounting issues.
  • External Audits: Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary information for audits.
  • Accounting Operations: Identify and resolve issues affecting the accounting close and consolidation processes.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Big 4 experience heavily preferred; large company experience managing 20+, and Annual Revenues over $500M.
  • Skills: 8+ years of accounting and finance experience, ideally in a growing healthcare company, but not required; extensive knowledge of Technical Accounting and GAAP.
  • Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SOX 404 compliance is preferred.
