Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in meeting their Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives across various subjects including mathematics, literacy, and social skills.
- Facilitate learning activities as directed by teachers, including lesson execution, resource preparation, and small group engagement.
- Provide assistance to students integrated into general education settings.
- Communicate effectively with educators regarding student progress and needs.
- Supervise students during non-instructional periods, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all student-related information.
- Assist in implementing prescribed therapeutic and educational programs developed by specialists.
- Support students in developing self-care skills, including personal hygiene and mobility.
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by educational professionals.
- Assist teachers with administrative tasks such as preparing instructional materials and maintaining classroom organization.
- Help with student mobility and transfers as needed.
- Report any significant changes in student behavior or status as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Adherence to professional standards and practices.
- Completion of relevant training programs as necessary.
- Current CPR certification and health assessments as required.
- Understanding of confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
