Optician Specialist

**Job Title:** Optician Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Optician Specialist to join our team at Amtec. As an Optician Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting patients with proper frame and lens selection, educating them on various options for clear lenses, sunglasses, and other needs, and ensuring proper fit and measurements for all lens types.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection
• Educate patients on various options for clear lenses and sunglasses
• Ensure proper fit and measurements for all lens types
• Verify patient insurance and explain their benefits
• Dispense glasses and ensure patients know about adaptation to new prescriptions and lens types
• Help patients with repairs and adjustments
• Ensure patient phone calls are returned in a timely manner and the patient is informed of any delays with eyewear purchased
• Assist with other tasks as needed

**Requirements:**

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Amenable to report onsite
