Job Overview

How will you contribute to our success?

The Instruments Sales Representative plays a crucial role in delivering sales expertise and managing accounts, spearheading all commercial activities within established markets for the Product Inspection Product Line under the Production Process and Analytics (PPA) business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). This position reports directly to the EMEA Sales Manager for Product Inspection. The representative is responsible for nurturing customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities within the existing client base, and ensuring market penetration and profitability while meeting sales and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve designated sales targets for the assigned territory, supporting external partners and/or engaging directly with customers.
  • Offer support and guidance to customers, OEMs, engineering firms, and partners to enhance long-term business outcomes and relationships.
  • Exceed customer expectations in terms of communication, responsiveness, cost awareness, and scheduling.
  • Continuously develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and their applications.
  • Recruit, train, and inspire Independent Sales Organizations (ISO), such as agents and channel partners, to maximize sales performance through their efforts.
  • Coordinate sales initiatives with other territories, product lines, and the internal sales team.

Participate in local and international trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions.

  • Provide sales forecasts, weekly reports, market intelligence, and relevant information to supervisors and other personnel as needed. Maintain daily updates and notes regarding customer interactions.
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time.
  • Effectively report sales data using CRM (SFDC) and other tools.
QualificationsEducation
  • Strong technical foundation - Bachelor's degree in technical sciences is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial (packaging) equipment.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in French and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SFDC, and internet applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commercial excellence in a matrixed environment.
  • Valid driving license.
