Job Title: Filler Operator
As a Filler Operator at Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers, your primary role will involve managing machinery responsible for packaging operations, including filling, marking, and labeling products. This entails initiating machine functions, monitoring their performance, identifying any issues, and communicating them to your supervisor. You will engage with various types of machinery such as the 30 Valve filler, Quart filler, Nep filler, Bulk filler, 18 Valve plastic filler, and 1/2 Gallon paper filler.
Working Schedule: 5pm-5:30am; 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Operate machinery to fill pasteurized goods into containers.
- Examine containers for seals, labels, weights, dates, and valves.
- Inspect seals for any stains and valves for potential leaks.
- Collaborate with the laboratory for product approvals.
- Oversee milk flow, eliminate defective containers, and modify machine settings as necessary.
- Document weight, date, and labeling information at regular intervals.
- Adhere to safety protocols consistently.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience is advantageous.
Physical Demands: The position requires reaching, handling, and both near and far vision. Ability to lift moderate weights is necessary.
Work Schedule Requirements: Flexibility for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment: Exposure to moderate to high noise levels and wet or slippery conditions.
Additional Requirements: Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
