Job Summary

The Machine Setup Specialist will be responsible for executing as the North American machine setup personnel, increasing Operation Availability (OA) through continuous improvement and problem-solving technical issues.

This role will also support the Battery department's objective to execute Capital Projects from planning through Start of Production (SOP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Navigate complex problem-solving at the regional level
  • Decide appropriate work priorities
  • Develop and execute schedules for said priorities
  • Report status to the management group

Requirements

  • PLC programming experience
  • Servo Motors troubleshooting
  • Electrical or wire troubleshooting
  • Test and repair electrical equipment or systems
  • Write, program, troubleshoot, modify and/or repair programmable logic controllers, robotics, cameras, and other electronic equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, machine components hydraulic and pneumatic
  • Plan and execute machine integration into mass production
  • Documentation of work performed
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Project planning with Engineering
  • Certify Safety of Equipment per MMR/MMS (NFPA79 and standards)

Work Environment

100% Onsite with 30% travel, including domestic and international trips to Japan for meetings, technical observations, and hands-on work after 3 months of hire.

Requires steel toe boots. Must be available for overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
