Cybersecurity Product Specialist

At Hologic, we are seeking a Cybersecurity Product Specialist to contribute to our mission of improving health outcomes through advanced diagnostics. This role is essential in fortifying the security of our molecular diagnostics offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and evaluate their implications for our products.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify vulnerabilities within our systems and provide actionable insights to product teams.
  • Support product development initiatives by addressing security and network vulnerabilities.
  • Design and implement comprehensive testing protocols for OS updates and antivirus solutions, while automating procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Educate internal teams on network security best practices and virus mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to define and integrate security requirements into product development.
  • Engage with engineering and field service teams to ensure our networked products meet high performance standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to monitoring security threats and managing associated risks.
  • Possesses strong troubleshooting skills for networked and computer-based systems.
  • Willingness to travel for training and collaboration purposes.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with corporate strategies and objectives.
  • Has a solid understanding of network architecture and familiarity with security analysis tools.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in computer and network security, network administration, and familiarity with both Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience in software testing and maintenance, as well as conducting cybersecurity risk assessments.
  • Background in enterprise-level computer network infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical information systems and software validation in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of medical informatics standards such as PACS, DICOM, and HL7.
  • Technical support experience for field service teams or end-users.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP) and networking certifications (e.g., Cisco) are advantageous.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly with medical equipment, is a plus.
