The County of Santa Cruz is seeking a highly skilled Aquatics Program Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote water safety, swimming skills, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver aquatic programs for diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors
- Collaborate with community partners to promote water safety and swimming skills
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring effective use of resources
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and concerns from program participants and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve program effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as recreation, education, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aquatic program management or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
