Job Summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Program Manager to join our team in Northern California. As a key member of our Sustainability Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to reduce our environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain air permitting programs for manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct greenhouse gas inventory and develop a climate strategy to reduce our emissions and manage climate risk.
  • Procure renewable energy for our manufacturing and vertiport operations, including on-site solar and commercial agreements.
  • Manage environmental compliance and sustainability programs, including energy consumption, resource consumption, and waste reduction.
  • Develop and track metrics to evaluate program development and execution, and provide regular reporting to the Sustainability Lead.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in sustainability programs and environmental compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with air permitting, greenhouse gas inventory, and renewable energy procurement.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for Joby's mission and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
