This is a remote sales role covering a designated territory. Travel is required primarily within this area, with additional visits to our headquarters and various customer engagements throughout North America.
Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be on generating sales and providing support for microscopes, measuring instruments, imaging software, and sample preparation equipment. You will also be responsible for basic installation and technical assistance.
Your success will depend on your ability to build and maintain relationships, including:
- Responding to inquiries from existing clients and active leads.
- Assessing customer needs to uncover new sales opportunities.
- Proactively seeking new connections through internal and external prospecting.
- Networking with clients and industry peers to gather insights.
- Collaborating with the sales team to tackle complex challenges.
Your daily activities will include:
- Identifying potential accounts through research.
- Reviewing account activity to uncover sales opportunities.
- Scheduling and conducting meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Performing product demonstrations in-person and at our state-of-the-art facility.
- Preparing proposals and estimates.
- Closing business opportunities.
- Managing customer relationships in our CRM system to ensure data integrity.
As part of our dynamic sales organization, you will receive ongoing support to enhance your technical knowledge and sales skills. Team members are encouraged to participate in educational workshops, industry events, and collaborative discussions to foster continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
We require a minimum of 2 years of prior sales experience, though we welcome candidates with varying levels of expertise. Comprehensive training will be provided to all new hires, supported by management and sales teams.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, and networking skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is expected, and experience with CRM software is a plus.
Compensation
Excel offers a competitive salary and commission structure, along with ongoing bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
