Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Patient Access Manager, the Financial Patient Advisor is responsible for assisting patients with financial planning and managing tasks related to registration, insurance verification, and payment collection. This position demands excellent communication abilities and the capacity to operate independently in a dynamic environment.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Accurately and efficiently register patients.
  • Collect and enter patient information with attention to detail.
  • Process cash transactions and uphold financial documentation.
  • Verify insurance coverage and determine patient financial responsibilities.
  • Guide patients through financing alternatives and payment arrangements.
  • Engage effectively with patients and healthcare personnel.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Training: Must be skilled in basic mathematical computations.

Certification: Must obtain Hometown Health Certifications.

Experience: Prior experience in customer service or patient registration is preferred.
