We have recently launched Bar 600 and are in search of an exceptional Bartender to enhance our service.

POSITION DETAILS
Bartender: Part-Time
The Cannery Pier Hotel is seeking a talented Bartender to support the operations of Bar 600.
COMPENSATION
Hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, plus tips, based on experience.
SCHEDULE
Availability required for weekdays and weekends, with shifts from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM on weekdays and 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM on weekends. Total hours range from 30 to 40 per week.
ROLE SUMMARY
This role involves delivering bar service that is prompt, friendly, efficient, and professional, while adhering to all sanitation standards.
The Bartender will prepare and serve beverages to patrons, skillfully mixing ingredients to craft both classic and innovative drinks that meet customer preferences.
The primary aim of this position is to engage with hotel guests and ensure they enjoy a memorable experience at Bar 600.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Duties:
1. Provide timely and accurate service to all bar patrons and fellow service staff.
2. Remain attentive to guests' needs, ensuring beverages are replenished, serving condiments before food delivery, and checking in with guests shortly after food service to ensure satisfaction.
3. Mix and serve drinks, cocktails, and other beverages as requested, following established drink recipes.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Familiarity with liquor brands, mixers, and recipes, adhering to beverage control policies, including portion control.
· Compliance with local liquor laws, company policies, and Alcohol Awareness programs, including age verification.
· Report any quality issues to management.
· Maintain cleanliness and presentation at the bar and tables.
· Present accurate guest checks promptly and report sales and gratuities accurately.
· Follow credit procedures for running tabs and verify guest room keys for charges.
· Complete side work duties as required, including opening and closing tasks.
· Perform cashiering functions, including cash drawer reconciliation and posting checks.
· Secure alcohol inventory at the end of the day.
· Adhere to sanitation standards.
· Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
· Collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating a spirit of cooperation.
· Exhibit excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities, especially under pressure.
· Follow directions from supervisors respectfully.
· Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities.
· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve hotel and company objectives.
· Provide leadership through example and knowledge sharing.
· Perform other assigned duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, ensuring safety and health for oneself and others. Successful performance of this role requires meeting the following qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
· Previous experience as a bartender.
· Experience handling cash transactions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to interpret simple documents and communicate effectively with individuals and groups. Multilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and interpret various data.
REASONING ABILITY
Must apply common-sense logic to follow instructions and solve problems effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Regular requirements include standing, talking, hearing, and walking, along with reaching and using hands for various tasks. Occasional climbing, kneeling, and navigating tight spaces may be necessary.
Work environments may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and wet or humid conditions. Noise levels typically range from low to moderate.
