Position Overview

We are a progressive mid-sized CPA firm dedicated to the audits of labor unions and their associated benefit funds. Our firm operates from multiple locations.

We are in search of Full-Time or Part-Time Audit Managers with a focus on Quality Control. A CPA license is a prerequisite for this role. The position can be based remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thorough examination of audit engagements
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
  • Reviewing various tax returns including 990's, LM-2's, and 5500's
  • Acting as a resource for the firm on complex accounting, auditing, and regulatory issues
  • Drafting position papers and guidance on newly released technical standards
  • Meeting busy season hour requirements

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Public Accounting
  • Experience with labor unions and multi-employer benefit funds is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong ability to research intricate accounting and auditing matters
  • Excellent time management capabilities
  • Detail-oriented approach
