Position Purpose:
The role of the Quality Control Chemist involves performing sample testing using various techniques and equipment within the QC laboratory.
This position may be tailored based on departmental requirements and the individual's qualifications, including education and experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct routine and advanced testing or analysis within a designated department.
2. Operate specialized equipment and perform critical testing as necessary.
3. Participate in investigative activities to ensure compliance with data integrity and cGMP practices.
4. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Department Head or Section Leader.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences is preferred. Candidates should possess knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Experience with testing raw materials and finished products, as well as familiarity with instruments such as GC, HPLC, Karl Fischer, and ICP, is essential. Proficiency in scientific communication in English, both written and verbal, is required.
Strong organizational skills, the ability to analyze complex data, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and scientific software are necessary. Experience in oral solids is an advantage.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work standing or walking for a significant portion of an 8-hour shift, with the capacity to lift up to 10 kg unassisted when necessary.
Compliance with safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
