Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

Arizona State University is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Parking and Transit Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding parking and transit services.
  • Process permit and transit pass sales applications and citation payments.
  • Update customer accounts and prepare online orders, temporary permits, and other materials.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual processes, including balancing cash and using detailed maps.
  • Compose correspondence and use basic math to complete manual and electronic forms.
  • Respond to email inquiries and coordinate information for maintaining various logs, files, and reports.

Requirements:

  • One to two years of customer service experience in a frontline service environment.
  • Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a function providing parking permits, general information, and other similar services to the general public.
  • Effective verbal and written professional business communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Cash handling experience in a retail or service environment.

Working Environment:

This position is located in an environmentally controlled office setting and requires extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
