Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at the Lynn Community Health Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and evaluating nursing staff, as well as collaborating with practice managers and providers to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, evaluate, and discipline nursing staff, as well as collaborate on orientation of new staff members.
  • Review phone messages, tickler files, and electronic health records for follow-up care and missed appointments.
  • Attend operations, manager, nurse, infection control, and team meetings to share information with staff.
  • Meet daily with clinical staff to discuss patient care and address any concerns.
  • Ensure that the Lynn Community Health Center's standards of care and policies are consistently followed.
  • Provide professional nursing care for the well-being of patients, including taking vital signs, providing wound care, administering medications and vaccines, and providing health teaching to patients and families.
  • Triage phone calls to identify the most appropriate intervention for patients.
  • Participate in the development of site goals, objectives, protocols, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Massachusetts nursing license
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program (preferred)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish/Khmer/Russian with knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
  • A desire to work as a collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team
