Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our team at Grand Vistas at Dreaming Creek, an apartment community in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for marketing the apartment community, presenting its features and benefits to prospective residents, and securing lease agreements from qualified individuals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Market the apartment community to prospective residents and present its features and benefits
  • Qualify, determine needs and preferences, and professionally present community and specific apartments to prospective residents
  • Answer incoming phone calls and handle each call accordingly, whether it is a prospect call, resident with a concern, service request, etc.
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends, and contribute ideas to the Community Manager for marketing property and improving resident satisfaction
  • Complete all lease applications, assist with application verification, and notify prospective residents of results
  • Complete all lease paperwork, including related addenda, and accept rents and deposits
  • Physically inspect property when on grounds, pick up litter, and report any service needs to maintenance staff
  • Assist the Community Manager in preparation of daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.
  • Ensure all rental practices comply with federal, state, and local laws
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
  • Ability to utilize personal transportation to inspect apartment community and surrounding neighborhoods, make trips to the bank, attend offsite meetings, and visit the corporate office
  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
  • Experience with LIHTC program preferred
  • Weekend hours required on a rotating basis
