Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly rate: $25
• Incentive: $100 for each approved move-in
• Opportunity to facilitate move-ins for 140 units

Role Overview:
The Leasing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of the property, marketing available units, and screening potential tenants. This position involves maintaining positive relationships with residents, contributing to a welcoming office environment, and representing the organization positively in all interactions. Responsibilities include overseeing the orientation of new tenants and assisting with various office management and administrative tasks.

• Showcasing properties and amenities attractively to prospective tenants.
• Managing incoming inquiries via phone and in-person.
• Responding to requests through various channels, including leasing information, appointment scheduling, and maintenance follow-ups.
• Processing tenant applications efficiently.
• Utilizing diverse media for advertising available properties.
• Focusing on resident retention strategies.
• Supporting the Property Manager and Assistant Manager as needed.
• Delivering consistent customer service in alignment with the Atlantic Housing Foundation standards.
• Inputting data into property management software.
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of Fair Housing laws and regulations related to leasing and property management.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in lease-up processes.
• Familiarity with layered HUD/LIHTC properties is essential.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Previous leasing experience is advantageous.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
