As a Leasing Consultant, your responsibilities will include promoting the apartment community, showcasing its amenities to prospective residents, and facilitating lease agreements with qualified individuals. You should be self-driven, enthusiastic, and dedicated to achieving high performance in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist potential residents, understand their needs, and present the community and available apartments effectively, emphasizing features and benefits.
  • Manage incoming calls, responding to inquiries from prospects and residents, and efficiently addressing service requests. Redirect calls to the Community Manager when necessary.
  • Stay updated on local market trends, recommend marketing strategies to the Community Manager, and suggest improvements to enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Accurately complete lease applications, assist in application verification, and communicate outcomes to applicants. Prepare necessary correspondence for residents.
  • Oversee lease documentation, rent collections, and deposits. Maintain records of prospective residents, send acknowledgments, and conduct follow-ups.
  • Conduct property inspections, report maintenance issues, and manage move-outs and vacancies.
  • Assist the Community Manager in generating reports, resident communications, inventory management, and market surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with all leasing practices in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Availability to work weekends is required.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
  • Ability to travel for property inspections, meetings, and offsite visits.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Yardi software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the LIHTC program is a plus.
  • Weekend shifts are part of the job requirements.
