Staff Services Analyst

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is seeking a highly skilled Staff Services Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing data management and incident reporting support to our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply incident management process based on PD 9500 and hospital policy for Incident Management.
- Basic understanding of Incident Management processes, definitions, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of different databases used in processing of Special Incidents such as WaRMSS, CIS, and other databases correlations as applicable.
- Data entry methodology and data entry experience.
- Ability and familiarity with researching information pertinent to Special Incidents using all resources as needed.
- Ability to apply coding and definition matrix for Special Incident reporting provided in PD 9500 and other legal definitions based on incident details as applicable, using sound judgement and logic based on incident details.
- Clear understanding of data collection strategies, data trend evaluation, and data tracking methods.
- Understanding of database compatibility issues and alternate methods used to overcome non-compatibility issues.
- Data conversion concepts when navigating data sets using different applications such as Adobe Acrobat PDF software, MS Word, Excel etc.
- Ability to understand functionality, role, and co-relation of different databases used to record, and analyze SIRs.
- Ability to complete prompt and accurate recording and reporting of time sensitive incidents to headquarters and outside agencies as needed.
- Computer proficiency in WaRMSS, Microsoft Word, and Excel programs is required.
- Proficiency/knowledge of CIS (Client Information System) is desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and statistical abilities.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of hospital management.
Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
Special Requirements:- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
