Job Summary

The Department of Industrial Relations is seeking a highly skilled Staff Services Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Public Works Program, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of analytical and evaluative tasks related to the effective administration of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and enforce Industrial Welfare Commission orders and laws covering minimum wage, overtime, workers' compensation insurance coverage, child labor, cash pay, unlicensed contractors, and other related enforcement responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to enrich their work and contribute to the agency's goals and success.
  • Collaborate with Deputy Labor Commissioners and other stakeholders to ensure effective program administration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

This position is located in a climate-controlled office setting with occasional field work. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
