Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the patient care team by supporting physicians and other clinicians in delivering high-quality healthcare to ambulatory patients. This position requires a high level of communication skills, as the Medical Assistant will act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other clinicians. Key responsibilities include taking medical histories, assisting with physical examinations, measuring vital signs, preparing and administering vaccines/medications, documenting patient information, and collecting specimens for testing.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the Medical Assistant must have a High School Diploma or GED, a graduate of a medical assistant program, or at least two years of medical assistant experience within the last five years. Additionally, the candidate must have good communication skills, experience using a keyboard and computers, familiarity with equipment used in ambulatory care, and current AHA CPR certification. The Medical Assistant must also be able to travel locally to multiple sites as needed and work in stressful conditions and difficult situations.
