Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team at the VCU School of Medicine. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for the day-to-day management of research portfolios and programs, working closely with senior research administrators, managers, and directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks of the award, including communications between investigators, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Coordinate the Pilot Program, including application cycles, budget management, and annual meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for the VCU AGIE, including scheduling team meetings, facilitating meetings, and recording minutes.
  • Prepare annual progress reports for NIH and plan and execute annual conferences.
  • Coordinate application and award processes for the Pilot Program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and ability to complete assignments and generate reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with application and review processes, conference/event planning, and budget management.
  • Strong marketing and promotional skills, with experience designing and disseminating publicity materials.

This is a restricted position with a set end date after one year, with the possibility of extending up to 5 years and continued employment dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.
