Job Title: Program Officer, Title IX

Harvard University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Program Officer to join our team in the Office for Gender Equity. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to support the HMS and Harvard-wide communities, implement impactful initiatives, and ensure adherence to crucial policies related to Title IX, Non-Discrimination, and Anti-Bullying.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Title IX Resource Coordinators and the University Office for Gender Equity (OGE) to ensure compliance with Title IX, Sexual Harassment, and Other Sexual Misconduct regulations.
  • Serve as a Local Designated Resource (LDR) and Title IX Resource Coordinator for students, offering guidance on Title IX, Non-Discrimination and Anti-Bullying policies.
  • Implement supportive measures for those affected by misconduct, assess community safety concerns, and take prompt, effective action.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions on Title IX, VAWA, and NDAB policies for students, staff, faculty, postdocs, and other HMS community members.
  • Oversee data collection and reporting related to compliance with Title IX and NDAB policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including at least three years specifically in a Title IX role.
  • Graduate Degree, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience supporting student populations and working in higher education.
  • Ability to train and present on policies, laws, and develop educational content on community climate and University values.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and navigate sensitive situations with neutrality and empathy.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation delivery.
  • Willingness to travel on and off campus for meetings and events.
