About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiology Services Supervisor at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our imaging services, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining proper staffing levels and developing productivity and quality standards
• Recommending, developing, and implementing Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement programs
• Maintaining direct communication with radiologists, technologists, and other hospital departments to ensure optimal patient flow and care
• Serving as a resource for policy and procedure interpretation, education, and implementation
• Monitoring room utilization and providing work direction to technical nursing staff as needed
• Establishing and maintaining an extensive in-service program for radiologic technologists
• Planning, organizing, and implementing technical and system changes to improve patient care and efficiency
• Investigating patient, family, physician, nursing, and/or hospital staff complaints and responding in a timely manner
• Participating in the budget process and operating within budgetary allocations
• Initiating, participating, and assisting in the research, purchase, and implementation of capital acquisitions
• Maintaining an adequate supply of operating materials in a cost-effective manner
• Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the technical and clinical practice of radiology
• Performing human resources responsibilities for staff, including coaching, performance reviews, and staff morale
• Recommending hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations
• Ensuring adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and ensuring personal actions and those of supervised employees comply with policies, regulations, and laws
• Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served
Requirements:

• Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) issued by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, or Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in a recognized imaging modality, with proven technical knowledge of assigned modality, and experience as a lead or senior level staff
• Excellent human relations, communication, and interpersonal skills required
• Demonstrated leadership ability
Working Conditions:

• Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
• Must be able to stand, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the majority of the workday
• Must wear protective clothing when necessary
• Will be exposed to radiation and film processing chemicals
