As a Staff Water Resources Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that involve the application of hydrologic and hydraulic principles to solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Applying professional principles and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists.
  • Performing detailed and complex hydrologic, hydraulic, and water resource engineering analysis using cutting-edge tools.
  • Authoring water resource-related report text for senior review, documenting study processes, findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Developing and reviewing design drawings, calculations, and technical reports for compliance with the current state of the practice.
  • Assisting in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports, with input and guidance from senior engineers.
  • Collecting data and measurements in the field.

Requirements for the position include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related) from an ABET-accredited program, with excellent academic achievement in water resource-related courses.
  • A Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with an emphasis in Hydraulics, Hydrology, or Water Resources, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering software commonly used to evaluate watersheds, dams, and hydraulic structures, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SITES, WinDAM, and 3D Computational Fluid Dynamic modeling, is preferred.
  • 0-4 years of professional experience.
  • Successful completion of the EIT.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to provide examples of technical writing.
  • A positive attitude, detail-oriented, and self-motivated to grow professionally.
  • A willingness and ability to perform field work and travel.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $57,200 to $86,000, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and a bonus program.
