Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our water resources group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to design and evaluation of hydraulic structures.
Responsibilities
- Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists.
- Perform detailed and complex hydrologic, hydraulic, and water resource engineering analysis using cutting-edge tools.
- Author water resource-related report text for senior review, documenting study processes, findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
- Develop and review design drawings, calculations, and technical reports for compliance with the current state of the practice.
- Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports, with input and guidance from senior engineers.
- Collect data and measurements in the field.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related) from an ABET-accredited program.
- Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with an emphasis in Hydraulics, Hydrology, or Water Resources (preferred).
- Familiarity with engineering software commonly used to evaluate watersheds, dams, and hydraulic structures (preferred).
- 0-4 years of professional experience.
- Successful completion of the EIT.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and self-motivated to grow professionally.
- Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel.
