About the Role

HC-Resource is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Executive Chef and Operations Manager to oversee the daily back-of-house restaurant operations in North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the food preparation and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality food on time.
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Supervise food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a fully-stocked kitchen inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that the kitchen area meets the highest standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Cost Control: Complete weekly and monthly cost reports, providing insights into kitchen operations and areas for improvement.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to plan menus, ensuring that they are appealing to our customers and profitable for the business.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head Chef.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients, knowledge of a wide range of recipes, familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations, excellent organizational skills, conflict management abilities, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Education: Certification from a culinary school or a degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.
