About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cancer Care Navigator - Oncology to join our team. As a key member of our oncology department, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care across all stages of treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new patient cancer referrals and initiate contact with patients.
- Review patient records for NCCN guidelines, identifying necessary staging studies, molecular profiling, and other tests prior to initial consultations.
- Assess health status and conduct comprehensive assessments, screenings, and determinizations for risk.
- Ensure patient referrals to appropriate support services based on individual needs and barriers.
- Participate in developing assessment tools, care management guidelines, pathways, and algorithms for cross-continuum cancer care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 3 years of experience in Oncology.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or ONN-CG (Oncology Nurse Navigator-Certified Generalist) certification.
Work Environment:
This position is based in Richland, South Carolina, at 1510 Richland Hospital, within the Peds Hem/Onc Office Services department.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure reflects the typical compensation range for similar positions in the area.
