Aon is seeking a highly skilled Risk Consultant II to join our Casualty Risk Consulting practice. As an operational risk control consultant, you will work with clients to identify trends and financial improvement opportunities, conduct risk assessments, and develop risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic loss analyses and qualitative reviews to identify trends and financial improvement opportunities for clients.
  • Perform risk assessments and safety training via client interface, focusing on operational improvement and financial exposure mitigation.
  • Develop and implement risk management and injury prevention strategies, and support tactical plans to control risk-related costs.
  • Prepare Statements of Work and/or proposals articulating service plans and deliverable work product.
  • Use project management skills to ensure goals and objectives are aligned with services delivered to exceed client expectations.
  • Deliver onsite visit and project reports summarizing services delivered and measurable results achieved.
  • Collaborate with teams, including casualty claims staff and insurance carrier representatives, to execute initiatives for post-accident mitigation strategies.
  • Support business development to Aon offices by rapidly gaining an understanding of client needs and articulating conceptual strategies and Aon resources to control operational accident exposures and costs.
  • Assist clients in achieving compliance with regulatory programs, including OSHA and DOT.
Requirements:
  • Technical skills in addressing occupational safety, fleet controls, and general liability exposures from an operational standpoint.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data management tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Project management experience, including budget responsibilities, quality, timeliness, and specific metrics.
  • Ability to interpret data to create client-facing, strategic, and tactical improvement plans.
  • Capacity to evaluate complex circumstances and adapt as situations evolve.
  • Capacity to work effectively on multiple tasks with minimal supervision and meet expected deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in articulating project scope, value proposition, and return on investment for business development tasks.
  • Multiple industry experience, including manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, service, and/or wholesale and distribution.
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional or Certified Professional Ergonomist, are a plus.
Travel and Physical Requirements:

Around 30-35% overnight travel is required for this position. Additionally, the employee must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, travel by commercial air and other public transportation as needed, ascend and descend stairs, lift and carry up to 30 pounds for short durations, stand and walk for extended periods, and don and wear basic Personal Protective Equipment required in the work environment.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science/Art or Master Level in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related technical major is required. Two or more years of experience in safety/risk management in insurance consultation or industry is also required.
