Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Cabling Technician to join our team at NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex data center cabling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Center Experience: You will have a minimum of five years of experience in data center cabling, with a strong understanding of copper (UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber optic cable.
- Rack Installation and Server Cabinet Installation: You will be responsible for installing and configuring servers, switches, and cabling in data center environments.
- Structured Cabling: You will design and install structured cabling systems, including terminating cable and distribution frames.
- Hardware Knowledge: You will have in-depth knowledge of Dell and HP hardware, as well as rack and stack configurations.
- Troubleshooting: You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex data center cabling issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum Five Years of Experience: You will have a minimum of five years of experience in data center cabling, with a strong understanding of data rack cabling standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of Cabling Standards: You will have a strong understanding of cabling standards, including copper and fiber optic cable.
- Ability to Read and Interpret Documents: You will be able to read and interpret various types of build documents, schematics, and cable running lists.
- Safety Standards: You will be responsible for maintaining safety standards and safely operating various hand tools.
